A Modernized Telethon with Bill Nye the Science Guy
Project Summary
#GivingTuesday is like the Super Bowl for nonprofits. Every year since its inception in 2012, this international day of giving enables philanthropic organizations to rally their communities of supporters. It now marks the beginning of the year-end season of giving – a critical time of year for fundraisers.
To generate support for parks and elevate awareness about the National Park Foundation’s brand, we partnered with Mashable for a #GivingTuesday social media activation. Together with our National Park Service Centennial Ambassador Bill Nye, we hosted a modernized telethon as a Facebook Live on Mashable’s page.
In addition to managing the script development and onsite activation, I penned this piece of branded content as part of the media partnership. It was then syndicated through Mashable’s social channels.
